Contact
Getting in touch can feel like a big step.
You may be unsure about what therapy actually involves, what communicating this context might be like, or whether I can support you with your particular needs.
You don't need to have all of that figured out before you reach out.
Reassurances
You don't have to:
• Commit to therapy straight away
• Know exactly what to say
• Have everything clear before making contact
You can:
• Ask questions
• Take your time
• Get in touch in whatever way feels most comfortable
Step-By-Step
Choose how you'd like to get in touch
You do not have to call. Email, text or the contact form below is fine.
Don't worry about getting the words right
If you are unsure what to say, you can keep it simple: 'Hi Duncan, I'm interested in therapy and would like to know more.'
I'll get back to you
I will respond to messages and emails as soon as I can.
If you choose to call, I will try to answer. If I am unable, you can text to let me know if and when you'd like a call back.
For example: 'Hi Duncan, can you call me back? The best time for me is...'
We can have a free introductory conversation
I offer a free 15–20 minute introductory session so we can get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. This is an informal conversation rather than a full session.
Alternatively, you can skip this and go straight to a full session.
We can find a way of communicating that works for you
Our meeting can take place via online video or chat, or by phone or text messaging.
Your privacy matters
Anything you share will be treated confidentially, with the usual limits around risk and safeguarding, which I can explain if helpful.
